Bach has a Web site

But who’s his Webmaster? This has to be my favorite Amazon review ever:
This version of the Musical Offering is the recommended one according to Bach’s own website. That’s why I bought it. It is brilliant.
Unfortunately, the recording has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I guess they weren’t paying attention to Bach’s Web site. The same reviewer said that The Constant Gardener sucked, which I thought was rather engrossing. Ah well, my reviewer rank is 51,680 and hers is 897,365–so there!

Well buddy, roughly 750,000 review points don’t lie. Tell her to get off the radar until she breaks the top 100,000. Cretin.
Well, I’m at 179,604, with only 1 unhelpful vote, so I feel moderately qualified to comment…If Bach were alive in our time, I believe his website situation would not be much different…the few who truly liked and appreciated his music would have elaborate sites dedicated to his output (Bach Cantatas website with its excellent BCML yahoo group), and everyone else would be in the dark or jealous of his skills. Bach would, in any case, be writing music and doing nothing overly substantial to further his career- confused as to why we could not recognize his overwhelming genius and just GIVE him that post in Dresden that he so desired and richly deserved!
