IdeaLaunch Proposals Due November 2
Events — Posted on October 27, 2009 at 3:24 pmIn celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, YSU is sponsoring a student business proposal competition which could lead to funding for launching your great idea! To participate, submit an IdeaLaunch proposal (2 pages maximum) which must include the following:
- Describe the service or product – will it change the way people live, work or do business?
- Why is your idea unique? What is your competitive advantage?
- Who is your competition?
- Who is your customer?
- How will you sell your product or deliver your service?
- What are your skills for launching this idea? Who else needs to be involved?
- How much money is needed to get started? For equipment, for operations?
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of entrepreneurial experts with the semi finalists invited to present their IdeaLaunch proposals at the Rise & Shine breakfast on Thursday, November 19 at 7:30 am at YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration. Finalists will be paired with a mentor and required to prepare a business plan for presentation to the Garden Club Angels during National Entrepreneurship Week in February 2010. IdeaLaunch Proposals will be reviewed and judged according to:
- Economic and technical feasibility
- Quality of product, service, and solution
- Market opportunities and competition

What a good opportunity for some smart students! And I learned something – I hadn’t been aware of the angel investors group. That also sounds like an interesting organization.
